Step 1. Put up a website. Of course! What are you going to optimize if you don’t have a website yet in the first place? Hire an excellent web designer. Have a website that catches attention, not one that looks like a circus. Create web text that has a punch. Readers would want to see something that tickles their interest, so make sure that you hire a content writer that does amazing content for the different pages of your website. If you think you can do the content, get it done.

Step 3. Make links with relevant sites only. You or your link builder cannot link just to any site even if this site is high ranking. Even if the site has high pagerank but it lacks relevance to your own site, there is no use linking with it. Nonetheless, a relevant and high quality site is going to help give your site a plug.

Step 4. Do not allow too many outbound or reciprocal links on your site. These links make people reaching your site to leave sooner than they should. Your objective is to keep these people within an adequate duration as such they may be able to get to know and understand your products and services.

Step 5. Update. Your site would lose some credibility if you have the same stuff which people saw five years ago. Always supply fresh and interesting information.

Of course, you got to update your business, too, since other businesses are doing the same. Enhancing every aspect of your business, including SEO campaigns and link building program, is the key to being competitive.
